Holy Spirit, Dawn of Comfort
Words: Jesse Rey Quesada.
Holy Spirit, dawn of comfort,
Drive away my sorrow's gloom.
Let Your shining rays of mercy
Be the toll of evening’s doom.
Melt the icy sway of sadness
O'er my weak and troubled heart.
Shine anew Your great salvation,
And the night will soon depart.
Holy Spirit, sweet assurance,
Break the clouds this tempest wields.
Calm the waters grief has troubled;
By Your peace, may they be stilled.
Fear has cast its waves upon me,
Blasting fierce to sink my soul.
God, my help, dispatch Your promised
Rescue from the Tempter's hold.
Holy Spirit, seal of vict’ry,
Guard me midst temptation's siege.
Be my shelter and protection
From the blows of unbelief.
Steel my faith firm for the battle,
When my doubt would pierce me through;
For my surety of deliverance
Is the life I have in You.
Holy Spirit, promised Helper,
Be my strength to run this race.
Speed me on my way to Heaven,
Toward the crown received by faith.
