In Greatest Trial

Words: Jesse Rey Quesada & Austin Thompson.

In greatest trial, my Savior stands;
In furnace fire, His sovereign hand
Shall hold me fast with bonds of grace,
Hence I'm secure whate’er I face.

Though waves abound in suff'ring deep,
His peace makes straight its path to me,
And calms the squall within my soul,
With words of truth, the Spirit sows.

I’ll rise on wings of courage new
With hope that You will guide me through
Both mountain high and valley low,
Till I, with You, walk streets of gold.

When doubt and fear would fain prevail,
He is my tow’r amidst their gale;
My firm foundation in the storm,
With mercies new, which break the morn.

Though Satan aims to pierce my heart,
No weapon formed can tear apart
Christ’s love for me – a fortress strong.
“Redeeming love,” my vict’ry song.
