See it Come, the Holy Dwelling
Words: Jesse Rey Quesada & Bryan Jeffrey Lee. Music: Bryan Jeffrey Lee.
See it come, the holy dwelling
Christ prepares for God's elect.
O'er earth's beauty, far excelling,
For His hand with pow'r perfects.
Gates of pearl adorned with splendor,
Streets laid with the finest gold.
Sanctified, His saints shall enter
Heav’nly glories yet untold.
Sun and moon shall shine no longer
For the Lamb is heaven’s light;
He illumes its every corner –
All lies bare before His sight.
Darkness there cannot abideth,
For Christ’s glory fills the span.
There He’ll surely bring to fullness
That which He at first began.
When with us God tabernacles,
‘Round His throne we’ll e’er reside.
Broken then our mortal shackles –
Bound to Christ, His holy bride.
Gone the days of sin’s oppression –
Death cast out eternally.
Saved fore’er as God’s possession,
Clothed with immortality.
By His hand He’ll comfort gently
They that reach this blissful shore;
Giv'n by grace eternal entry
To the rest of Christ the Lord.
Then we’ll see, with eyes unfettered,
With what depths He loves His own.
In the arms of Christ our Shepherd,
Singing praise to God alone.
